ABOUT THE COMPANY.
A Local Council based in Inner Western Sydney, is seeking for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to assist with the AP function of Council. Civica Authority or Local Council experience is mandatory. This role will be a standalone role and requires previous Government experience.
ABOUT THE POSITION.
An initial 6-month contract with opportunity for a permanent position. Working alongside a team of accounting professionals, you will report to the Financial Strategy and Operations Lead. The role will require your ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, bringing on-board your strong foundation in AP. Guidance will be provided by your team as required.
DUTIES.
- Processing of creditor payments, invoice checking & ensuring correct authorisations
- Managing superannuation
- Reconciliations
- Matching and raising of purchase orders
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.
- Civica Authority or Local Council experience is mandatory
- Ability to read, interpret and raise purchase orders
- Strong proven experience in an Accounts Payable role
CULTURE.
Due to the nature of the contract, you will be expected to attend the office full-time. Your excellent communication and stakeholder interaction skills will play a critical part in the success of your role.
REMUNERATION & BENEFITS.
- $40 - $42 p/h + Superannuation
- Opportunities for contract extension
