We are seeking a Asset Engineer to join a progressive and strategic asset management team in local council. This role plays a pivotal part in shaping how critical public infrastructure - is planned, maintained, and improved to meet the evolving needs of the community.
You’ll help with the implementation of long-term asset management strategies, manage corporate systems, and ensure programs align with sustainability, performance, and compliance goals.
DUTIES.
- Help develop and implement asset management strategies and policy frameworks for building and infrastructure assets
- Assist in creating and mapping new assets, maintaining existing asset data, analysing data, development of maintenance and inspection schedules
- Oversee the use and development of corporate asset management systems
- Prepare forward capital works programs with multi-year projections
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering
- Strong experience managing infrastructure or asset-related projects
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication abilities
- Proficient in writing reports and preparing consultant briefs
- Knowledge of asset management frameworks, legislation and contemporary practices
