ABOUT THE POSITION.
As an Asset Engineer, you will be responsible for managing road transport and drainage assets, with a focus on updating systems following subdivision and capital works projects (~$100M CAPEX). Key duties include site inspections, asset data collection, interim asset creation, and reporting. Proficiency in SMEC PMS , Assetic , or ArcGIS important.
DUTIES.
- Asset Data Management : Regularly updating SMEC PMS with new subdivision and infrastructure developments, ensuring the system reflects current asset conditions and layouts.
- Site Inspections & Data Collection : Conducting thorough on-site inspections to gather accurate data on road and drainage assets for entry into the PMS.
- Interim Asset Management : Creating interim asset records prior to handover or final asset acceptance, ensuring continuity in asset tracking.
- CAPEX Project Integration : Coordinating the integration of capital works into the asset database without contractor involvement, maintaining a clear and independent record of asset delivery.
- System Reporting : Producing detailed reports from SMEC PMS to inform strategic decision-making, maintenance planning, and investment prioritization.
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Asset Management or relevant qualifications
- System Experience in SMEC PMS or Assetic
- 2 to 3+ years’ experience in civil infrastructure asset management
- Strong attention to detail in data management and reporting
- Ability to work independently in field-based and office settings
- Open to candidates from the private sector with relevant asset or infrastructure experience
