ABOUT THE POSITION.

As an Asset Engineer, you will be responsible for developing strategies, initiating projects, including provision of required information such as detailed scope and budget estimates. Be involved in strategic asset management to optimize the lifespan of assets and undertake stakeholder and customer engagement.

DUTIES.
  • Assist in developing and implementing Strategic Asset Management Plans to improve Council's asset management over a 10 year timeframe 
  • Review and implement relevant policies and strategies aimed at the sustainable management of Council's major assets 
  • Perform statistical and other analyses on asset condition, performance, and risk data
  • Coordinate the review and integration of infrastructure impacting strategies and plans
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.  
  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Asset Management or relevant qualifications
  • Previous experience in Local Government is highly desirable
  • Proficiency in TechOne and Asset Management Systems 
  • High level of attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills
