ABOUT THE POSITION.
Based in Northern Sydney - an exciting opportunity is available for an Asset Officer (Fleet and Plant) to join a dynamic and collaborative Properties and Assets team in Local Council.
You'll work closely with both internal and external stakeholders, providing strategic and operational leadership for the acquisition, utilisation and disposal of fleet and plants.
ABOUT THE POSITION.
An initial 3 month contract with opportunities for extension or transition into a permanent role. This role is not a fleet management role. Rather, your input to Council's Asset Management Plans, data management of the asset registers and analysis of data for improvements will determine your success in this position.
DUTIES.
- Develop plant and fleet strategies and plans
- Manage fleet and plant data and systems
- Streamline fleet and plant asset management processes
- Develop asset lifecycle models and estimates for capital/operational budgeting
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Operations or Business
- Solid foundation and demonstrated experience with fleet and plant, and further - developing strategies for assets
- Local Council experience
- Knowledge of contemporary fleet strategies, green fleet initiatives and regulatory requirements
