An exciting opportunity is available for an Asset Officer to join a dynamic and collaborative infrastructure team in local council. In this role, you'll support strategic asset management initiatives across community infrastructure such as transport, stormwater, and open spaces.
You'll work closely with internal and external stakeholders, contribute to asset data systems, and ensure maintenance and improvement projects meet operational standards. This is a permanent full-time role ideal for a proactive and technically minded professional who is passionate about sustainable infrastructure management.
DUTIES.
- Provide technical assistance and project support related to infrastructure asset management
- Maintain and update asset registers and assist in planning and data collection efforts
- Coordinate with contractors and ensure compliance with project standards
- Support strategic asset planning through stakeholder engagement and analysis
- Interpret technical documentation and contribute to systems improvement and reporting
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Environmental Management, Asset Management or related field
- Class C Driver Licence
- Experience in asset management, including stakeholder engagement and project administration
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
