- Salary range:
$115K–$129K + 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance + Super + Leaseback vehicle
- Total package: approx. $156K–$175K (incl. super & allowances) depending on hours worked
- Standard 35-hour week with a flex day every fortnight, or opt for a 40-hour week (no flex day) with higher earnings

ABOUT THE POSITION.
Lead the charge in delivering Council’s strategic asset programs as the Asset Planning Team Leader . You’ll oversee the renewal, improvement, and maintenance of community assets, integrating data, systems, and financial insights to create transparent, prioritised capital works plans.
This role drives innovation, governance, and compliance, embedding ISO 55000 standards across asset planning processes. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external agencies to ensure projects meet community needs, long-term growth strategies, and sustainability goals.
DUTIES.
- Coach and develop the Asset Planning Team, building capabilities in data analytics, GIS, and lifecycle modelling.
- Develop business cases, prioritisation models, and dashboards to support evidence-based decisions.
- Collaborate with Finance, IT, GIS, and delivery partners to ensure integrated planning and reporting.
- Manage project handovers, monitor progress, and ensure alignment with operational and financial plans.
- Support flood risk management and maintain the Crown Road Register.
- Civil infrastructure planning, design, or delivery experience with strong project/program management skills.
- Data-driven asset planning and lifecycle management expertise.
- Knowledge of Local Government legislation, compliance, and governance frameworks.
- Team leadership and mentoring experience.
- Proficiency with asset management systems, GIS, and data governance.
- Strategic planning, prioritisation, and business case development skills.
- Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or relevant qualification; Engineers Australia membership desirable.
