ABOUT THE POSITION.
An exciting opportunity has become available for an Associate Geotechnical Engineer to join a growing Sydney-based team. This role offers a balance between technical leadership, project delivery, and client engagement, making it ideal for a senior engineer looking to step into a more strategic position. You will play a key role in managing complex geotechnical projects, mentoring engineers, and strengthening relationships with key clients across the private and public sectors.
DUTIES .
- Lead the delivery of geotechnical investigations, analysis, and design for a variety of development and infrastructure projects
- Oversee site investigations, foundation design, slope stability assessments, and retaining systems
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and consultants
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and project teams
- Contribute to project planning, proposals, and fee submissions
- Support the leadership team in identifying new project opportunities and expanding client networks
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or working towards chartership
- Strong experience in geotechnical engineering within a consultancy environment
- Expertise in ground investigation, soil and rock mechanics, foundation design, slope stability, and earthworks
- Proven ability to manage projects and maintain client relationships
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
