ABOUT THE POSITION.

This position is responsible for overseeing and leading a team of hydraulic engineers and designers, ensuring high-quality project delivery and technical excellence. You will provide hands-on technical guidance, mentoring, and support to the team. A key component of the role involves maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring clear communication, responsive service, and continued trust in the consultancy’s capability. 

DUTIES.
  • Lead the detailed design and documentation of hydraulic systems across a range of building services projects
  • Manage project delivery and resourcing to ensure timely, high-quality outcomes
  • Provide leadership, mentoring and technical guidance to junior and intermediate engineers and designers
  • Maintain strong client relationships while identifying and contributing to business development opportunities
  • Liaise effectively with internal multidisciplinary teams, clients, contractors and external stakeholders
  • Contribute to the ongoing growth, culture, and technical excellence of the business
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.
  • Bachelor’s in Engineering, Diploma in Hydraulic Services or equivalent
  • CPEng and DBP (preferred, not essential)
  • Effective project management skills, excellent communication and strong leadership skills
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including mentoring, developing, and supporting engineering teams
