ABOUT THE POSITION.
An initial 6-month opportunity for an Audit and Risk Coordinator with a start as soon as possible. You will play a key role in coordinating and delivering a risk-based internal audit and business improvement program. Working closely with senior leadership, you will be responsible for identifying opportunities for innovation, strengthening internal controls, and ensuring effective alignment with Council’s strategic objectives.
DUTIES.
- Lead risk-based internal audits and business improvement initiatives
- Develop audit frameworks, methodologies, and quality assurance systems
- Advise executives and managers on risk management and improvements
- Supervise audit teams, committee work plans, and external providers
- Monitor implementation of audit recommendations to ensure results
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.
- Experience in Local Government or the Public Sector is necessary
- High level of maturity and communication skills
- Strong knowledge of audit methodologies, frameworks, and assurance processes
