ABOUT THE ROLE.
As the Building Facilities Coordinator, you will be the key point of contact for ensuring all Council-owned and occupied buildings operate safely, efficiently and in full compliance. You’ll manage building systems, oversee contractor delivery, and provide excellent service to staff, tenants and stakeholders. This is an impactful, hands-on role contributing to the smooth running of essential community facilities.
DUTIES.
- General facilities and property management
- Oversee building systems including BMS, access control and CCTV
- Conduct routine inspections and resolve building issues promptly
- Manage contractors and coordinate urgent maintenance, prepare roster
- Monitor budgets and support cost control
- Prepare building performance reports for internal teams
- Assist with upgrades, renovations and small projects
- Previous experience in a facilities or property management role
- General trades experience is highly preferred
- Proficient with technology and systems mandatory
- Local Council experience is highly regarded
