ABOUT THE POSITION.
We are seeking a commercially minded Business Development Manager with technical expertise in contaminated land and environmental site assessment. This role is ideal for someone with a background in environmental science, engineering, or geoscience who thrives on building relationships, identifying new opportunities, and driving strategic growth within the environmental sector. You will play a critical role in expanding the company’s environmental services footprint, working closely with technical teams to offer value-driven solutions for clients across infrastructure, development, and government projects.
DUTIES.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the contaminated land and environmental consulting sector.
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.
- Lead proposals and tenders, working closely with technical staff to deliver high-quality, tailored solutions.
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activity to inform business strategy.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless project delivery and client satisfaction.
- Support the development and marketing of new environmental service lines.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.
- Degree-qualified in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or related field.
- Extensive experience in the contaminated land consulting industry.
- Proven track record in business development, sales, or client relationship management within technical environments.
- Solid understanding of environmental legislation, guidelines, and contaminated land assessment processes in NSW.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Existing network within the environmental, construction, or government sectors.
- Project management experience or certifications.
