ABOUT THE POSITION.
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Civil Stormwater Engineer to join their dynamic team. This full-time position offers an opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from residential developments to large-scale commercial, educational, and aged care initiatives, focusing on effective stormwater management and compliance with environmental regulations.
DUTIES.
- Design and model stormwater drainage systems using industry-standard software
- Develop plans and specifications for drainage systems, detention/retention basins, and other stormwater control features
- Collaborate with council, construction teams, and other stakeholders to coordinate stormwater management projects
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards related to stormwater management
- Monitor and inspect stormwater facilities to ensure proper functioning and compliance with regulations
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Proven experience in stormwater engineering within the Australian market
- Proficiency in stormwater software (e.g., DRAINS, MUSIC, HECRAS, TUFLOW, Civil 3D)
- Strong understanding of Australian stormwater regulations and standards
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
