ABOUT THE POSITION.
An opportunity is available for an Intermediate Civil / Stormwater Engineer to join a dynamic and growing team. This full-time role will see you working across a diverse portfolio of projects, from residential developments to large-scale commercial, education, and aged care facilities. You will play a key role in the design and delivery of effective stormwater management solutions while continuing to develop your technical and project coordination skills.
DUTIES.
- Design and model stormwater drainage systems using industry-standard software
- Prepare engineering drawings, calculations, and specifications for drainage infrastructure, including detention and retention systems
- Assist with flood modelling, water quality assessments, and stormwater control strategies
- Coordinate with councils, construction teams, and internal project stakeholders to support project delivery
- Ensure designs comply with Australian Standards, council requirements, and environmental regulations
- Support site inspections and construction-phase activities to ensure stormwater systems are implemented as designed
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Extensive experience in civil and stormwater engineering within the Australian market
- Proficiency in stormwater and civil design software such as DRAINS, MUSIC, HEC-RAS, TUFLOW, and Civil 3D
- Strong understanding of Australian stormwater guidelines, council standards, and regulatory frameworks
- Well-developed communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities, deadlines, and multiple projects
