ABOUT THE COMPANY.
Based in Western Sydney, work for your Local Council as a Claims Officer. You will work in a great team and report to the Chief Safety Officer, processing premiums, and maintaining up-to-date insurance documentation. A strong focus on collaboration, legislative awareness, and WHS compliance is essential.
ABOUT THE POSITION.
A 3-month contract opportunity for a start, end of August. You will bring previous Claims Officer experience in a complex & dynamic environment. You will coordinate investigations, maintain accurate records, liaise with claimants, loss adjusters, contractors, council staff, and ensure timely communication of complex or high-risk claims.
DUTIES.
- Monitor and interpret legislation and standards; inform management of changes
- Manage claims end-to-end, including liability, estimates, payments, and recoveries
- Maintain claim registers and incident reports
- Liaise with insurers, brokers, legal, medical, and investigative parties
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.
- Previous insurance claims experience is necessary
- Certificate IV of General Insurance
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
REMUNERATION.
- $50.00 p/h + Superannuation
