ABOUT THE POSITION
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to take on a diverse and autonomous role combining client-side Project Management and Superintendent responsibilities. You will manage projects from inception through to completion while also playing a key role during the construction phase, acting as Superintendent and administering contracts on behalf of clients.

This provides excellent exposure to the full project lifecycle, giving you responsibility across project planning, stakeholder management, procurement, construction delivery and contract administration. Working across a broad range of sectors, you’ll have the opportunity to manage multiple projects while building strong relationships with clients, consultants and contractors.

This role would suit a Project Manager who enjoys taking ownership, has strong commercial and contractual knowledge, and is looking to broaden their experience within a highly respected consultancy environment.

DUTIES
  • Manage projects from initial feasibility and planning through to completion
  • Act as the key point of contact between clients, consultants, contractors and project stakeholders
  • Take on Superintendent responsibilities throughout the construction phase
  • Administer construction contracts and ensure all parties meet their contractual obligations
  • Assess and manage progress claims, variations, extensions of time and other contractual matters
  • Issue relevant contractual notices and certifications in accordance with project requirements
  • Coordinate contractors, consultants and stakeholders throughout project delivery
  • Chair project and site meetings and provide regular reporting to clients
  • Monitor project programmes, budgets, risks and key milestones
  • Oversee construction activities to ensure works are delivered in line with quality, programme and budget expectations
  • Identify and proactively manage project risks and delivery issues
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standard
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • Previous experience as a Project Manager within the construction or property industry
  • Client-side or consultancy Project Management experience will be highly regarded
  • Experience undertaking Superintendent or contract administration responsibilities is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts and project delivery processes
  • Experience managing projects across a range of sectors
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
  • Relevant qualifications in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Property or a related discipline
