ABOUT THE COMPANY.

This reputable Local Council is located on the Lower North Shore of Sydney with easy access via public transport. Sitting under the City Presentation and Infrastructure directorate, you will work in a team of experienced Project Delivery professionals to act as a conduit between Council's infrastructure projects and the community.


ABOUT THE POSITION.
    
An initial 6 month contract with potential for extensions and opportunities to apply for a permanent role within the team. You will bring extensive experience in community engagement and delivery, preferably in community and place projects. These may include: traffic & transport, public domain, cycleways, and indoor sports centres.


DUTIES.
  • Lead the development and implementation of Community Engagement Plans 
  • Coordinate designing brochures/letters and various methods of communications including the facilitation of workshops & presentations
  • Manage consultants, prepare procurement briefs and undertake assessments
  • Collaborate on place making as per the Public Spaces and Recreation Strategy
  • Prepare high-level outcome reports, issues reports, social media, websites & communication memos for Councillors and Executives

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.
  • Experience in Local Government or the Public Sector
  • Extensive experience in community engagement plans and community development projects
  • Demonstrated knowledge & experience in community and place project delivery liaison 
  • Understanding of project delivery processes and issues across design and delivery phases
  • Accreditation with IAP2 Spectrum of Public Participation (desirable)
