Join your local council as a Construction Supervisor. Local Government offer 35 hours per week, flexible start and finish times, RDO's and stability in contract roles with potential for extension or transition into a permanent role.
ABOUT THE POSITION.
As a Construction Supervisor you will be responsible for the coordination and management of work crews to carry out the pre-planning and delivery of civil infrastructure works including roads, bridges, stormwater drainage, both greenfield and brownfield maintenance.
DUTIES.
- Contribute to the delivery of outcomes and the Operational Plan
- Supervise labour, plant, cost estimates, work programs and risk management
- Schedule materials and upkeep of relevant management plans
- Manage staff and carry out annual staff performance assessments
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.
- Certificate III in Civil Construction, or relevant qualifications
- Previous experience as a Construction Supervisor is highly desirable
- Significant knowledge of road, drainage and bridge construction and maintenance
- Interpersonal and great communication skills to communicate effectively and lead your team
