This company is highly respected and well known in the Australian construction industry, operating in Canberra across a wide variety of multi-residential and commercial projects in the new-build space. This vacancy has come as a result of the company securing a healthy number of exciting projects valued up to $50M with an ongoing pipeline of works.
ABOUT THE POSITION.
As a Contracts Administrator, you will work directly with an experienced Project Manager with a clear pathway to grow your skills on multi-residential and commercial projects in Canberra. You’ll collaborate with both site and project teams to deliver high-quality outcomes across various sectors, from early design through to project completion. This role involves regular communication with clients and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards.
DUTIES.
- Assist with cost tracking, forecasting, variations, and change order management, maintaining accurate records and approvals
- Review and manage subcontractor claims, approvals, and procurement processes to support cost control
- Attend and document site meetings, coordination workshops, and stakeholder discussions
- Coordinate services across multiple projects, ensuring smooth communication between site teams, subcontractors, consultants, and clients
- Liaise with clients, engineers, consultants, and internal teams to support high-quality project delivery
- Develop and maintain project programs and schedules, monitoring progress, timelines, and milestones
- Support commissioning, completion, and handover processes
- 3+ years in a Contracts Administrator role preferable
- Tertiary qualification in a building-related discipline or equivalent industry experience
- Strong track record of stability and reliability with previous employers
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes, and project reporting
