ABOUT THE COMPANY.

Join a local council as a Contracts Administrator. Local Government offers 35 hours per week, Work From Home days, flexible start and finish times, RDO's and stability in contract roles with potential for extension or transition into a permanent role. This Council is looking to provide training and development to develop their Contracts Administrator into a future Project Manager, within their team. 
  
ABOUT THE POSITION.

As a Contracts Administrator, in a initial 6 month contract you will assist project managers with procurement activities, including inviting and evaluating proposals for projects including, but not limited to capital works, playgrounds, park upgrades, buildings and stormwater. Respond to queries, edit contracts based on standard templets, review insurance and other forms of approvals prior to projects commencement.
  
DUTIES.
  • Manage contract documentation and assist with reporting milestones
  • Receive, register and allocate extension of time, requests, progress claims, invoices and variations from contractors
  • Participate in internal and external stakeholder meetings
  • Provide regular updates to contractors
  
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.  
  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management or relevant qualifications
  • Prior exposure working in the construction industry is essential
  • Technical understanding of contraction contracts and management
  • Time management and great communication skills, to communicate, resolve issues and negotiate
