ABOUT THE POSITION.
As a Coordinator Flooding and Stormwater, you will be responsible for planning and implementing Councils flooding and stormwater programs to manage risk and enhance resilience across the City, including consultation, strategy and policy development. Manage and inspire innovation within the team through planning, reporting, budget management, section planning, staff training and capability to increase strategic direction through collaborative and positive relationships.
DUTIES.
- Lead catchment planning and WSUD strategy
- Review and implement policies related to stormwater and floodplain management
- Manage design and oversee stormwater drainage systems
- Provide expert flooding and stormwater advice to assist the review of development applications and engineering conditions
- Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant qualifications
- Prior experience leading a team is highly desirable
- Knowledge of Floodplain Management and DAMS Safety in NSW
- High level of attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills
