Join your local council as a Design Engineer. Local Government offer 35 hours per week, Work From Home days, flexible start and finish times, RDO's and stability in contract roles with potential for extension or transition into a permanent role.
ABOUT THE POSITION
As a Design Engineer you will provide technical support by undertaking a variety of design utilised 12D and CAD for projects including but not limited to roads, footpaths, cycle ways, traffic facilities, drainage, and stormwater. Assist with the provision for various civil projects by liaising with internal and external stakeholders, by gathering detailed information to prepare analytical reports on related activities.
DUTIES
- Conduct site investigations and visits from interpreted drawings and building plans
- Ensure designs are actioned according to planning, surveying, traffic, electrical and landscaping requirements
- Investigate, plan and develop projects identified for the Infrastructure and Asset department
- Liaise and collaborate with other engineers or relevant stakeholders
- Degree in Engineering (Civil) or relevant Degree
- Previous experience working within Local Government is desirable
- Driven individual who is autonomous and ability to collaborate
- Experience using 12D & CAD, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MX Roads & ARD
