This role would also suit an ambitious Senior Project Engineer looking to take the next step and gain exposure to design management.
ABOUT THE POSITION
As the Design Manager, you will be responsible for managing the design team and leading design coordination across multiple commercial new-build projects valued at over $20 million. You will collaborate closely with the project, and design team to successfully oversee the design management and process for all projects from concept to completion.
DUTIES
- Manage and oversee project design development
- Lead and facilitate design coordination meetings
- Establish and manage consultant design programs
- Ensure compliance with PCA, BCA, and DDA requirements throughout the design and construction phases
- Coordinate and manage the Construction Certificate (CC) approvals process
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Experience working as a Design Manager or Senior Project Engineer on commercial new-build projects over $20M
- Tertiary or trade qualification in a building-related discipline (preferred)
- Strong track record of stability with previous employers
