As a Development Engineer, you'll work closely with internal stakeholders, external contractors, and the broader community to assess development applications and permits - ensuring compliance with local regulations and high standards of service delivery.
DUTIES.
- Assess drainage and flooding aspects of development applications
- Provide administrative support and manage records for the Drainage Development Assessment team
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on development matters
- Respond to enquiries and correspondence promptly, ensuring compliance with Council procedures
- Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes and work independently with minimal supervision
- Degree in Civil Engineering or similar
- Council experience in development engineering desirable but not mandatory
- Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
- Proficient in MS Office, DRAINS
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and works well independently and in a team
