ABOUT THE POSITION.  

We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate Environmental Consultant to join their growing team at their Sydney office. In this role, you will be working on a variety of environmental projects, providing expert advice, conducting assessments, and helping clients navigate the complexities of environmental regulations and sustainability challenges. You will play a key role in ensuring that projects align with local and national environmental standards, helping to drive sustainable solutions for their clients. 
  

DUTIES. 
  • Conduct contaminated land assessments, including Phase 1 Preliminary Site Investigations (PSI), Phase 2 Detailed site investigations (DSI), and risk assessments 
  • Lead and manage contaminated land remediation projects, ensuring compliance with relevant environmental regulations and industry standards 
  • Develop and deliver detailed site investigation reports, including soil, groundwater, and vapor intrusion sampling, and provide recommendations for remediation strategies 
  • Provide technical advice and solutions related to contaminated land, contamination risk management, and environmental legislation 
  • Liaise with clients, regulators, and stakeholders, providing updates, progress reports, and technical expertise 
  • Support clients with the preparation of Environmental Management Plans (EMPs) and Environmental Due Diligence reports. 
  • Stay updated on current contaminated land regulations, remediation technologies, and industry best practices. 
  
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.  
  • A degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geology, or a related field 
  • Extensive and proven experience in contaminated land assessments, remediation projects, or environmental consultancy, with exposure to Australian legislation and regulations 
  • In-depth knowledge of contaminated land management, soil and groundwater contamination, risk assessment methodologies, and remediation techniques 
  • Familiarity with Australian environmental regulations 
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and produce clear, actionable reports 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with clients and stakeholders effectively 
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines 
  • A proactive and solution-oriented mindset with a passion for environmental sustainability
