ABOUT THE POSITION
In this role, you’ll take ownership of estimating a mix of commercial fit-out projects valued up to $50M. You will work closely with project and design teams, manage pricing with subcontractors, prepare detailed cost plans, and guide tenders from initial brief through to submission. You’ll have room to work autonomously day-to-day, while still having solid support around you whenever it’s needed.
DUTIES
- Prepare accurate, timely cost estimates and tender submissions
- Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and scopes
- Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing
- Support value engineering and project feasibility reviews
- Handover successful tenders smoothly to the delivery team
- 2–5 years’ experience estimating commercial fit-out projects
- Strong understanding of Sydney subcontractor pricing and current market trends
- Confident interpreting drawings, specifications, and technical documents
- Able to work independently, prioritise, and meet tight deadlines
- Experience with estimating software (Buildsoft, Cubit, CostX, Excel, etc.)
