My client is a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy that brings over four decades of industry experience delivering innovative structural and façade solutions. Based in the heart of North Sydney, this firm specialises in complex lightweight façades, curtain walls, and structural systems across concrete, steel, and timber, with expertise in extending to building and seismic design, with projects covering residential, educational, commercial, retail fit outs and other specialised projects. We are seeking a passionate Façade Engineer to work on high-quality, challenging projects with industry leaders.
ABOUT THE POSITION.
As a Façade Engineer, you will join a collaborative team delivering complex façade projects from concept to completion. In this role, you will work closely with architects, builders, and fellow engineers, preparing F3P1 reports and detailing aluminium and glass façade systems, including windows, shopfronts, curtain walls, and cladding. You will contribute to day-to-day project delivery under the guidance of senior engineers and associates. This role offers job security within a growing, dynamic company.
DUTIES.
- Prepare waterproofing and F3P1 compliance reports, including performance analysis
- Design and draft aluminium and glass façade systems such as windows, shopfronts, curtain walls, and cladding
- Work collaboratively with architects, builders, and engineers to ensure designs meet project requirements
- Support the design development and documentation of bespoke projects
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.
- Bachelor of Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or equivalent
- Proven experience in façade engineering
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Strand7, REVIT, THERM, WINDOW, CHECKWIND or, similar software
- Experience in structural or civil engineering will be highly regarded but not essential
- Able to work effectively both independently and as a part of a collaborative team
