ABOUT THE POSITION.
As a Floodplain and Stormwater Engineer you will be responsible for liaising with developers, applicants and residence to provide flood and stormwater advice for properties and developments, undertake detailed stormwater, flood and water quality designs and reviews, flood modelling and certificates
DUTIES.
- Develop processes and methods to facilitate easy access to flood information
- Manage consultants, ensuring projects meet deadlines
- Ensure designs and reviews are carried out aligning with standards and regulations
- Coordinate delivery of flood studies, floodplain risk mangement and stormwater designs
- Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant qualifications
- Previous experience in Local Government is highly desirable
- Proficiency in GIS, TUFLOW, HECS and/or DRAINS
- High level of attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills
