This Sydney based civil contractor has grown significantly over the past two years, focusing on structural and civil projects ranging between $1m and $5m. They are a preferred contractor for a number of well established clients and currently have multiple active projects across the Sydney metro area. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Foreman with a strong concreting background to join their team.
ABOUT THE POSITION.
You will be responsible for overseeing a range of civil and structural projects across Sydney as a Foreman. Projects will vary in size, with values up to $5m. Key responsibilities will include managing workers and subcontractors on site, overseeing quality assurance and safety documentation, and ensuring that projects are delivered on schedule and within budget. You’ll be expected to keep things moving on site and may need to manage multiple small projects at once.
DUTIES.
- Reading and interpreting site drawings
- Leading a team of 3–5 workers across multiple Sydney metro sites
- Taking a hands-on approach and setting the standard on site
- Maintaining a safe and compliant work environment at all times
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience delivering concrete projects from start to finish
- Strong plan reading ability
- The ability to lead a team and keep the project on track
- Willingness to work hands-on with concreting, formwork, and steel fixing
