ABOUT THE COMPANY.
This highly regarded national builder has a strong presence across Canberra, ACT. Known for delivering exceptional New Build and Fit-Out construction projects. With a stellar reputation in the commercial, government, education, and mixed-use sectors, the company has secured a diverse portfolio of exciting upcoming works. Backed by a history of successful project delivery and long-standing industry relationships, they are now seeking an experienced Foreman to assist in the delivery of a major commercial project valued at over $60M in Canberra.
ABOUT THE POSITION.
Reporting directly to the Site Manager, you will oversee on-site construction activity and ensure the project runs in line with WHS standards, program timelines, and quality expectations. You will be supported by a well-resourced project team including a Project Director, Site Managers, Foremen, Project Engineers, Site Engineers, and Cadets, all recognised for their strong technical capability and collaborative culture.
DUTIES.
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the project site
- Manage WHS compliance and ensure safety standards are met
- Coordinate subcontractors and oversee construction programs
- Lead structures, finishes, and fit-out stages (end-to-end delivery)
- Conduct toolbox talks, site inductions, and progress meetings
- Relevant trade qualification
- Proven experience delivering large-scale commercial new builds over $20M
- Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills
- Demonstrated longevity and success with previous employers
