ABOUT THE POSITION.
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join their experienced team in Sydney. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of challenging projects, applying both field and office-based geotechnical engineering practices. DUTIES.
- Plan, manage and execute geotechnical site investigations across NSW
- Analyse soil and rock samples, and interpret field and laboratory test data
- Prepare factual and interpretive geotechnical reports and recommendations
- Assist in foundation and pavement design, slope stability analysis, retaining wall design, and other geotechnical aspects
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities
- Conduct construction phase services, including inspections and advice during earthworks and foundation installation
- Ensure work is compliant with Australian Standards, project requirements, and company quality systems
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering or related discipline (required)
- Extensive experience in geotechnical engineering (preferred)
- Strong technical knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles and practices
- Proficient in software such as gINT, SLIDE, PLAXIS, SLOPE/W (desirable)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
