ABOUT THE POSITION.
  
We’re seeking a proactive Geotechnical Engineer to their skilled team. In this role, you'll oversee a diverse portfolio of geotechnical projects and collaborate closely with clients, junior engineers, and cross-functional teams. This ideal candidate will be solution-focused, passionate about their work, and driven to get things done.
   
DUTIES.
  • Lead and manage geotechnical engineering projects from initial scope to completion
  • Carry out site investigations, analyse relevant data, and produce detailed factual and interpretive reports
  • Design foundations, slope stabilisation, retaining structures, and other geotechnical elements, in compliance with Australian standards
  • Supervise construction phase services, including earthworks monitoring and advising contractors during foundation installation
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical growth within the team
  • Prepare proposals, maintain strong client relationships, and uphold technical accuracy
  • Ensure adherence to company’s quality systems and regulatory standards
   
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven and extensive professional experience in geotechnical consulting roles
  • Strong grasp of soil and rock mechanics, foundation design, slope stability, and earthworks
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., PLAXIS, gINT, SLOPE/W, SLIDE) is highly valued
  • Demonstrated experience preparing geotechnical reports and proposals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work with diverse stakeholders
  • Aptitude for multitasking and delivering to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
