ABOUT THE POSITION.

As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering expert geotechnical solutions across a diverse range of projects, including commercial, residential, infrastructure, and environmental developments. You will be involved from the initial stages of site investigation through to design, construction, and post-construction phases, ensuring the safety, stability, and sustainability of structures and earthworks.
  

DUTIES.
  • Conducting fieldwork to collect soil and rock samples, performing in-situ testing, and assessing site conditions.
  • Interpreting geotechnical data to evaluate ground conditions and inform design decisions.
  • Developing geotechnical designs for foundations, retaining structures, and other earthworks; preparing detailed reports and recommendations.
  • Collaborating with clients to understand project requirements and provide expert geotechnical advice.
  • Ensuring all work adheres to relevant Australian Standards and environmental regulations.
  
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.
  • A degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven and extensive experience in geotechnical engineering, particularly within the local market
  • Familiarity with geotechnical software and tools for analysis and design. (E.g. gINT, Plaxis, Rocscience, Geostudio, Wallap, Open Ground)
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities for report writing and client interactions.
  • Ability to analyse complex geotechnical issues and develop practical solutions.
