ABOUT THE POSITION.
An initial 6 to 12-month opportunity for a Governance Officer. Reporting to the Manager, you will work alongside a team of highly driven governance professionals. You will be expected to work with demonstrated efficiency to provide support in the coordination, maintenance and communication of robust governance frameworks and supporting policies.
DUTIES.
- Provide independent probity reviews of procurement processes
- Manage internal & external investigations regarding procedural fairness
- Manage internal & external complaints in accordance with Council's policies
- Support legislative compliance across Cross
- Assist with informal & formal GIPA applications
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.
- Local Council experience is high regarded
- Experience in research and development of Policies relating to Corporate Governance
- Experience determining release of documents under the GIPA Act 2009
- High level of maturity and communication skills
