ABOUT THE COMPANY.

Join a regional Local Council as an Infrastructure Contributions Officer within the Strategic Outcomes team. You will work alongside a team of planning professionals and play a key role in shaping sustainable growth, infrastructure planning and strategic land use outcomes across the LGA.


ABOUT THE POSITION.

In this standalone role, you will manage a range of major and complex strategic planning projects, including the development, implementation and monitoring of Council’s development contributions programs and strategic planning framework. You will contribute to planning for infrastructure provision, sustainable growth, and the delivery of policies and strategies that support a high-quality natural and built environment.


DUTIES.
  • Develop, implement and monitor Council’s development contributions programs and infrastructure planning initiatives
  • Manage multiple strategic planning projects, competing priorities and contribute to reviews of Council’s growth management framework
  • Undertake research, analysis and stakeholder consultation to inform infrastructure needs and strategic growth outcomes
  • Prepare and review strategic planning policies, projects, plans, submissions and reports to support evidence-based decision making

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Town Planning, Urban and Regional Planning, Geography, Business, Law or a related discipline
  • Experience delivering strategic planning projects within a multidisciplinary environment
  • Strong knowledge of the NSW Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, development contributions and infrastructure planning frameworks
  • Demonstrated experience preparing strategic planning policies, strategies, plans and supporting documentation
  • Strong project management, analytical, communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to deliver positive outcomes

Successful candidates will be required to undergo Police and Medical Checks.
