ABOUT THE COMPANY
Contract opportunity for a Local Council based in Inner Western Sydney. Council offers healthy work life balance with a 35-hour working week. Walking distance from a train station and you will have the opportunity to work with an established team of claims/insurance professionals.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Contributing to the Claims & Insurance team, you will be responsible for managing all matters of workers compensation claims in accordance with SIRA requirements. This includes the self-insurance requirements, the legislative framework and claims management technical guides.
DUTIES
- Undertake claims management functions: assessments of liability, claims review, wage calculation and injury management activities
- Develop and implement Injury Management Plans
- Day-to-day includes: processing invoices, liability decision, claims management, medical referrals, payroll/PIAWE, and attending case conferences
- Maintaining WC data system and exchange with SIRA and other parties
- Customer service for claimants
- Previous claims management experience for a self insurer or scheme agent
- Allied health background
- Local Council experience
- RTW Coordinator accreditation
- Previous experience using SolvInjury
SALARY & BENEFITS
- $70 - $72 p/h + Super
