This company is a growing Civil Contractor with the aim to double it's turnover in the coming financial year. They focus on delivering projects valued up to $5m specialising in council and private developments. Being a preferred contractor for the government and tier one clients, they currently have multiple projects based throughout Sydney and is looking for a driven Leading Hand with a strong machine operating experience to join their growing team.
ABOUT THE POSITION.
This position will be reporting to the Foreman on each project and will be based throughout the Sydney Metro area. You will be required to assist the Site Foreman on the day to day running of the project and also manage a small crew of your own. With the company being a big advocate of career development and progression, this company boasts strong progression opportunities.
DUTIES.
This position will include and not be limited to:
- On site management of various subcontractors
- Machine operating
- Assist company Foremen on their projects
- Manage a team of 2-3 people
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.
Ideally the successful candidate will possess the following:
- A trade or Machine Operator construction background
- Previous project delivery experience of earthworks or subdivision projects
- Able to read and interpret plans properly
- Capable of managing a small team
