A Sydney Local Council is seeking a ambitious parking officer to play a pivotal role in parking enforcement activities and record-keeping. You will report to the Coordinator and work within a highly supportive and collaborative team.
ABOUT THE POSITION.
As a parking officer you will actively undertake the business functions associated with parking enforcement activities, record keeping, preparation of evidence, representing Council at legal proceedings and liaising with the community, team members and Council staff. Your application will only be considered if you have prior experience in issuing infringements.
DUTIES.
- Enforce parking provisions within the Local Government Area
- Ensure vehicular turnover of parking spaces
- Provide excellent customer service to the public
- Report other non-related parking matters to Council
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.
- A Class C Driver's Licence is required
- Strong customer service experience
- Ability to learn and apply legislation as required
- Ability to work autonomously and be self-motivated
- Immediate start, contract up until 30 June 2026 with potential for contract extension
