A reputable Local Council is seeking an ambitious and motivated parking officer to play a key role in parking enforcement activities and record-keeping. You will report to the Coordinator and work within a highly supportive and collaborative team of 7.
ABOUT THE POSITION.
In this role, you will actively undertake the business functions associated with parking enforcement activities on foot, record keeping, preparation of evidence, representing Council at legal proceedings and liaising with the community, team members and Council staff.
DUTIES.
- Enforce parking provisions within the Local Government Area
- Issue infringement notices in line with NSW legislation
- Provide excellent customer service to the public
- Report other non-related parking matters to Council
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.
- A Class C Driver's Licence is required
- Excellent customer service experience
- Ability to learn and apply legislation as required
- Ability to work autonomously and be self-motivated
The ideal candidate is someone who possesses a strong passion for parking enforcement, demonstrating eagerness to learn, determination to work hard, and a vision for long-term commitment to this industry. In this role, you will be working on a rotating roster (Monday - Saturday) with hours between 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, ensuring a healthy work-life balance.
