ABOUT THE COMPANY.
A well-established Lower North Shore Local Council is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to take ownership of its payroll function. This is an excellent opportunity for an Officer who enjoys working independently, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering accurate and compliant payroll services.
ABOUT THE POSITION.
Immediate start . An initial 3-month opportunity with likelihood of extension.
Working in a standalone capacity, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while providing expert payroll support in accordance with relevant awards, legislation, and organisational policies.
DUTIES.
- Support end-to-end payroll duties
- Manual adjustments
- Leave and entitlement management
- Payroll reporting
- Attend to payroll enquires as they arise
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.
- Previous payroll experience, ideally within Local Government
- Experience using CIVICA (Authority) or a comparable advanced payroll system
- Ability to confidently manage payroll independently
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, Awards, and best practice
- High level of attention to detail & problem solving skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
