ABOUT THE COMPANY.
Join our Local Council based in Northern Sydney. Your team is responsible for the efficient delivery of cleansing services to the Local Government Area. Your role reports into the Cleansing Team Leader.
ABOUT THE ROLE.
1 x Plant Operator - Street Cleansing (Manual MR License mandatory)
1 x Litter Picker & Blower
An initial 3-month contract with potential extensions.
Please be advised that you will be expected to commit to a rotating roster based on operational needs. Due to the nature of this position and required hours, we can only consider candidates with a driver's license and access to a personal vehicle.
All successful candidates will undergo a National Police Check & Medical Check.
DUTIES.
- Plant Operator: Driving Council trucks, scrubbing, stripping & general cleansing duties
- Mon - Fri: 1:30 AM or 4:30AM start
- Weekends: 12:00 AM to 4:00 AM (as required)
- Must possess a manual MR license
- Litter Picker: Patrolling, litter picking, wiping bin lids & seating in the CBD area and surrounding streets
- Mon - Sun: Various shifts between 4:30 AM to 9:00 PM
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.
- Fitness capability to consistently walk long distances
- Previous experience in street cleansing team
- Demonstrated experience with overnight shifts preferred
- Working knowledge of WHS procedures
REMUNERATION.
Plant Operator: $40 p/h + Superannuation
Litter Picker: $38 p/h + Superannuation
