Their continued growth has created an opportunity for an experienced Principal Civil Engineer to join the Sydney team in a leadership and business development capacity.
ABOUT THE POSITION.
An exciting opportunity exists for a Principal Civil Engineer to lead the delivery of major residential and commercial building projects while supporting the continued growth of the Sydney business. This role combines technical leadership, project delivery, stakeholder management, and business development responsibilities. You will work closely with clients and industry partners to secure and deliver projects while mentoring and developing engineers within the team.
DUTIES.
- Lead the civil and stormwater design delivery for residential, mixed-use, and commercial developments
- Manage projects through the full lifecycle, ensuring quality, budget, and program objectives are achieved
- Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, architects, builders, councils, and key stakeholders
- Contribute to business development initiatives, proposals, tenders, and fee submissions
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to engineers and design staff
- Review and approve technical reports, models, and detailed engineering designs
- Drive innovative and practical design outcomes aligned with client and project objectives
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Extensive local consultancy experience delivering residential and commercial development projects
- Strong technical capability across stormwater, drainage, earthworks, and civil design
- Proficiency in industry software including 12D, DRAINS, MUSIC, Civil 3D, and related platforms
- Demonstrated experience managing projects, clients, and engineering teams
- Proven ability to contribute to business development and maintain strong client relationships
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
- CPEng status highly regarded
