ABOUT THE POSITION.
The Principal Environmental Scientist will lead complex projects focused on contaminated land assessment and remediation, providing expert technical guidance and ensuring regulatory compliance. DUTIES.
- Lead and manage complex environmental and contaminated land projects.
- Provide technical expertise on assessments, remediation, and compliance.
- Mentor and guide junior staff and project teams.
- Develop and implement environmental management plans.
- Liaise with clients, regulators, and stakeholders.
- Prepare and review technical reports and proposals.
- Ensure projects meet regulatory and quality standards.
- Support business development and secure new projects.
- Monitor project budgets and timelines.
- Promote innovation and best environmental practices.
- Proven experience leading complex environmental and contaminated land projects
- Strong technical expertise in environmental assessments, remediation, and compliance
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior staff
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong report writing, proposal, and documentation abilities
- Experience managing project budgets and timelines
- Business development and client relationship skills
- Certified Environmental Practitioner (CEnvP) essential
- Relevant Degree Qualifications Essential
