ABOUT THE COMPANY.

Located in the CBD, an established and fast-paced consultancy is seeking a Principal Fire Safety Engineer to spearhead its growing Fire Safety division. This is a strategic leadership role, overseeing a diverse portfolio of medium to large-scale projects, including commercial, healthcare, education, and government sectors.

ABOUT THE POSITION.

Lead the Fire Safety division within the Building Services team, playing a key role in shaping its future direction. You will be responsible for growing and developing a high-performing team of fire safety engineers, driving technical excellence across all projects. Working closely with the Fire Services Director, you will contribute to strategic planning, resource development and multi-disciplinary collaboration to deliver fire safety solutions across a diverse project portfolio.

DUTIES.
  • Lead and expand the Fire Safety Engineering team
  • Provide technical oversight and guidance across projects
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients and regulatory authorities
  • Support business development, nurturing client relationships and identifying new opportunities
  • Work closely with the Fire Services Director on strategy, resource planning, and team development
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.
  • Relevant qualification in Fire Safety Engineering or equivalent
  • Proven experience building and managing client relationships within a Building Services environment
  • Strong understanding of local building codes and fire safety regulations
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
