ABOUT THE POSITION.
This role calls for a Principal Geotechnical Engineer with proven leadership skills and extensive experience across residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects. You will oversee and lead construction phase services, ground investigations, design and instrumentation teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to the highest standards. In addition to managing and expanding an established client portfolio, you’ll provide innovative technical solutions and play an active role in driving business development initiatives.
DUTIES.
- Lead and manage complex geotechnical projects from investigation to completion
- Provide expert technical advice and review reports, designs, and recommendations
- Mentor and support junior engineers and technical staff
- Act as primary client contact, ensuring clear communication and client satisfaction
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation
- Ensure all work meets quality, safety, and regulatory standards
- Support business development initiatives and maintaining client relationships
- Extensive consultancy experience within the geotechnical sectors
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent), with CPEng accreditation
- Strong local track record delivering residential, commercial, infrastructure, and industrial projects (highly regarded)
- Advanced proficiency in geotechnical software, including Plaxis 2D/3D, GeoStudio suite, Wallap, and gINT
- Excellent understanding of local industry standards, regulations, and best practices
