ABOUT THE COMPANY.

Local Council based in Sydney's Upper North Shore seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join their team for 6-months. You'll become part of a collaborative team environment that possesses a diverse set of skills and experiences. 


ABOUT THE ROLE.

Initial 6-month opportunity. You’ll be delivering day-to-day operational procurement support across assigned Council business units. Previous experience within Local Government, including tendering and knowledge of the Local Government Act, will be highly regarded. Exposure to contract registers, procurement documentation, and supporting compliant procurement processes within a Council or Government environment is essential.


DUTIES.
  • Manage end-to-end procurement activities
  • Coordinate tender documentation and evaluations
  • Maintain accurate contract and supplier registers
  • Review contracts and supporting documentation
  • Support compliant Council purchasing processes
  • Resolve risks to ensure smooth delivery

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE. 
  • Tertiary qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Commerce, Finance, or related field
  • Previous Local Government experience with strong knowledge of the Local Government Act and tendering processes
  • Experience in project management, finance, or related disciplines highly regarded
  • High attention to detail with strong document accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

REMUNERATIONS & BENEFITS.
  • $60 - $70 p/h + Super
  • Up to 2 days WFH
  • 35-hour working week and healthy work life balance
