ABOUT THE POSITION.
Project Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of commercial construction projects from inception through to completion. This role is suited to a Project Manager who has already delivered a small number of projects end-to-end (typically 2–3) and is now looking to further develop their skills within a supportive and well-structured team. You will work closely with senior leadership while maintaining ownership of your projects. Projects typically range from $10M – $50M+ and are based locally within Canberra.
DUTIES.
- Manage commercial construction projects from start to finish
- Oversee project programming, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
- Prepare and maintain financial forecasts, cash flow reports, and project reporting
- Coordinate procurement and subcontractor engagement
- Administer contracts, including variations, progress claims, and risk management
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery
- Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard
- Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or similar
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within commercial construction
- Background delivering projects end-to-end
- Strong understanding of project delivery and contracts administration
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Stable employment history with reputable builders
