ABOUT THE COMPANY.

My client is an established Tier 2 civil contractor currently growing their operation in Brisbane. They deliver a range of civil infrastructure work valued between $10M and $50M including roads, pavements, utilities and earthwork projects, backed by an experienced leadership team. With steady work ahead, they are looking to add an experienced Project Manager to the team.

ABOUT THE POSITION.

Reporting to senior leadership, this role will take ownership of the end to end delivery of civil infrastructure projects across Brisbane and the surrounding areas. You will manage delivery from planning through to completion with full accountability for safety, program, budget and client relationships. This is a hands on leadership role suited to a Project Manager who wants genuine autonomy over how their projects are run.

DUTIES.

This position will include and not be limited to:
  • Managing the full delivery lifecycle of civil projects from planning through to completion
  • Taking ownership of project safety, quality and environmental compliance
  • Managing project budgets, forecasting and commercial reporting
  • Driving program and ensuring timely on budget delivery
  • Leading and mentoring site teams, Engineers and Supervisors
  • Managing subcontractors, suppliers and consultants
  • Building and maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.

To be successful for this role, the applicant will ideally possess:
  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or other equivalent qualificatoins 
  • Strong background across roads, pavements, utilities or earthworks
  • TMR experience will be advantageous
  • Solid commercial acumen with budget and forecasting experience
  • Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
