My client is a long established family owned civil contractor with more than six decades of successful delivery across NSW. With a strong forward pipeline of major subdivision, roads, earthworks and infrastructure projects across Western Sydney, they are now seeking an experienced Project Manager to take ownership of end to end delivery and grow with a business that backs its team for the long term.
ABOUT THE POSITION.
As Project Manager, you will own the full delivery of civil projects across Western Sydney from award through to handover. You will set the program, control the budget, lead the site and engineering team and keep clients, consultants and subcontractors aligned throughout. It is a role built for a PM who wants the authority to run a job their way and the backing of a contractor that rewards results.
DUTIES.
This position will include and not be limited to:
- End to end delivery of civil projects on time, on budget and to specification
- Leading and mentoring site and project engineering teams
- Managing project programs, resources and subcontractor performance
- Owning the commercial outcome, including budgets, forecasting and cost reporting
- Managing client, consultant and stakeholder relationships
- Driving a strong safety and quality culture across all works
- Overseeing procurement, contract administration and progress claims
To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:
- Proven experience managing civil projects end to end
- A background in subdivision, roads or earthworks
- Strong commercial acumen and program management capability
- The ability to lead, develop and get the best from a delivery team
- Excellent client and stakeholder management skills
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar
