ABOUT THE POSITION
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will work as part of an experienced team, providing end-to-end cost management and Quantity Surveying services across a range of significant projects. You will have the opportunity to take ownership of your work while receiving guidance and support from experienced Senior Quantity Surveyors and leadership. This role would suit a Quantity Surveyor with consultancy experience who is looking to take the next step in their career and gain exposure to larger and more complex projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver Quantity Surveying and cost management services across a variety of projects
- Undertake detailed measurement and preparation of Bills of Quantities
- Prepare cost plans, estimates and pre-tender estimates
- Assist with tendering and procurement processes
- Manage and assess variations and progress claims
- Provide Contract Administration services
- Prepare financial reporting and cost management documentation
- Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants and other key stakeholders
- Work collaboratively with Senior Quantity Surveyors and project teams to deliver projects within budget and agreed timeframes
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 year’s Quantity Surveying experience
- Previous experience within a Quantity Surveying consultancy is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of measurement, cost planning and estimating
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
